Life is something that no matter how hard we try, we just simply cannot control it. Too many things are happening all around us all at once. We can tell people that we will meet up with them at a certain place/time, and then no matter how hard we try, everything goes wrong and stops that meet up from occurring. However, there is one thing we can do to attempt to put a leash on our life; wake up early.
There are few things that most people are adverse to, but the one that is important to us is waking up early. No one likes waking up early, so most people don’t. And one thing that can cause us to change our daily plas are other people. So if you are awake before other people no one can get in your way.
If you want to start a workout schedule every day after work, but your boss is constantly asking you to stay later and later, that will mess up your plans, and possibly derail everything. Now imagine if you woke up really early, early enough to work out before work. Your exercise schedule should not get messed up, because your boss would be asleep!
Waking up early can also give you that extra free time to pursue your actual interests in life. If you woke up before anyone else, who could possibly get in your way when it comes to your own personal time.
Now you might be concerned about having to go to sleep early and not having as much time to do things at the end of the day. This is exactly why waking up early will provide structure in your life.
When you know you won’t have much time after work because you will have to go to bed early, you will start eliminating useless activities out of your life and stop wasting time and procrastinating.
Knowing that you will wake up at the same time everyday makes planning things much easier as well. You will inevitably create a morning routine with good habits (check out a previous blog). When you get your routine down to a science you will get a rough estimate of when it will end. Once your morning routine is done you can schedule things and start building your day around that ending time.I hope this was helpful and that you got something out of it.
